Picture Of The Day : Humyak House

Humyak House on Duke Street Liverpool is an interesting place for two reasons. First, it is a genuinely photogenic building : with its column of rust-red doors and contrasting rendered façade, no seasoned snapper - including myself - can walk passed without taking a photo or two. Secondly, the name makes it eminently Googlable : there is only one Humyak House in the world and most of the 55 Google results repeat the same, limited, information. The date of the building is known, as is the fact that it is now listed. But who (or what) was Humyak?
