Picture Of The Day : Liverpool Overhead Railway

No it's not new and no it's not mine. During my Liverpool visit yesterday I bought a copy of the history of the Liverpool Overhead Railway ("The Docker's Umbrella" by Paul Bolger) and this is one of the illustrations from the book. It was taken in the 1950s and it was in this period that I travelled on the railway : a trip through the docks on the Overhead was always a high spot of our summer holidays in New Brighton. Sadly the Overhead Railway is long gone.
