YSP - May 2011, a set on Flickr.

Several people have asked about the image I used to illustrate my last post. I took it earlier this year at the wonderful exhibition of the work of the Spanish artist, Jaume Plensa at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park

During the last day or two I have been trying to sort out some of my recent images on my Flickr account. Although I joined Flickr some time ago, I have never really come to terms with its possibilities and potential. So Jaume Plensa gives me the opportunity to experiment : and (hopefully - if it all works) here is a short set of photographs I took during my visit to the Park in May.

  2. Those are great sculptures. It must be a great place to visit. So glad you share them. As for the words that might become obsolete, I'm afraid I'm going to have to look many of them up!

  3. Great place, isn't it? I like to stop off there if I have to travel South - if I get the chance to.

Flickr has a lot of potential. I recently worked out how to embed a flickr "set". If you know how to make "sets" on flickr, I found you could turn it into a slideshow like this:

The code you need to paste into the post is created here:

  4. Wow. Pretty artsy-fartsy there, Alan. These really are cool. My favorite is the one with the hanging letters. What a fantastic medium photography is.

  5. All so very nice! The last one on the top right, if I didn't know any better I'd say he looks like he's alive statue ....I really enjoy those entertainers that park themselves around and appear to be statues.....most of them are so excellent, they keep you wondering and then finally they begin to move and walk away! So cool!

  7. They were incredibly photogenic, weren't they? I found myself taking loads of pics too. A few ended up on my blog and some on Flickr too but I haven't worked out how to link the two. Life is too short to use all these applications to their full, I find.
