We are away for the day. I leave you with a photograph taken yesterday as the storm clouds adopted a holding pattern over the Pennine tops.

  1. It all looks quite ominous, Alan. Have a great day out.

  2. I haven't been back to the old dart since 1995 and you're almost making me homesick for those Pennines they're very nostalgic to me.

  6. Did they also have bored passengers waiting for the joys of Customs and Immigration; and wondering if their bags made the same cloud.

  12. It's not the August weather we're used to. Right now I'm praying for torrential rain on certain areas of the country.........

  13. For me who does have an outdoor hose where I rent, I enjoy getting rain at least a couple of times a week, it saves filling up a 4 litre watering can many times to water my flowers!! So when I see rain clouds similar to the ones in this photo, I am glad....great shot Alan.
