Random Imagery No. 16,122

I have been importing all my digital images into my Adobe Lightroom photo cataloguing programme and I discover that, so far, there are 33,550 of them. A quick calculation shows that this is, on average, about 1.4 photographs per day of my life, which is hardly excessive. Using a random number generator I choose one image out of the 33 thousand to use as an illustration. It turns out to be a picture taken in Bangor, North Wales in November 2009. I suppose I should also show .4 of another photograph to illustrate my calculation, but that would be silly : and I am certainly not silly - am I?

  3. Like! Is there a national databank to save all our combined millions of "mature Devonshire sour cream & spicy" photographs do you suppose?

  5. It would be very interesting to repeat this every so often and see if the images 'selected' at random had a relationship to 'the now', random but with a reason . . . :)

  7. Yes that is a lot of shots to take and to store. My storage is by the month which means I have four years worth in 48 files without any real file system. I can find snow scenes in the winter months and flowers in all the spring and summer months and people photos are willy nilly everywhere. I blame it on my artistic side.

  8. I don't know how many images I have, and I have left almost all of them in original files by date. I have been trying to delete all except the ones I like or feel I might want to use or print sometime. I still haven't got around to making prints for some photo albums I bought 5 years ago.

BTW, I like your random image.

  9. Doesn't the random number generator generate a 0.4? I can't believe it!!! Over 3300 photos! You've had a lot of fun.

  10. Wow, that is amazing that you have kept all those photos over the years. Silly is one of the best things in life. Why not?

  11. I'm increasingly horrified at how many pictures I have stored. Increasingly, because there keep on being more of them. And I dont' really want to throw most of them away.
